I'm working on a fix for that, too. I have that fixed in my code, but some other stuff is broken.

UPDATE:

Sorry I haven't done much on this guys.  Various things, such as getting a new job, quitting an old one, moving back into the house (finally got done fixing it from the fire), and school have really cut into my time to work on this.

I have some notes I made during class a while back about the new converter API (that won't suck & kill resources) which I'll probably scan & pdf soon, just to get input on them.

Thanks for your patience, I promise to continue working on this when time permits!

Matt: apologies for being seemingly thick on this detail, but looking at your beta input/output files, you mention drivers. Are these the bits that will do the job of actually extracting the data from the source (input) schema and present the bits of data to the input / converter ?
Example: a database-driven schema needs to have (probably) two or three separate queries run to pull the  right data together to present all the parts of either the member or the message files for yabb. This would all be done inside the driver, which thus makes it the largest part (and) the toughest part of the converter?

Please don't PM me for support - I'll only go and ignore it!

I'm currently working on documenting the Ikonboard data format. When I finish the topic format, I'll publish what I have. Hopefully when I'm done I'll be able to work on a converter for Ikonboard and help Matt with the universal converter if he wants help.

hehe ok. thought it would be outdated b/c of the "last modified" date of the file. and additionally i wasnt sure from where $DRIVERS comes from.
is it necessarry to define this as global variable?

For large boards, it will probably eat up a heck of a lot of memory.

I'm already working on a way to avoid this problem.  It's also going to address the current problems with data formats Smiley

And of course, it will be backwards compatible... at least for a while  Grin

Convert.txt is the right file, but i didn't post the driver code...
(which is now added above Smiley )

I can forsee a problem converting large boards.  This method of storing the data will eat a lot of memory.  I'm thinking about some sort of callback style function in the next version with.  The reader will actually call the writer.  It'll be cool.

I'm going to finish this version first though Smiley
