The install files. I'll only need your data if something goes wrong when converting.

As far as I know, we don't have a direct UBB converter for YaBB 2. I thought, however, that a community member built one a long time ago for the old Y1 Gold line.

It looks like, at one time, Torsten was hosting that converter.  However, the link from the YaBB FAQ leads to a 404 page now.

Maybe he still knows where it can be found.

I'd need to find out where I can get a copy of the source code, but I can do it for free once this month ends, I think.

hey guys,
i  finally received approval for funds to have our UBB board converted to YABB. is there anyone who is up to the challenge and if so, how much? it is important that we retain the user's files, posts, threads, etc in tact.

thanks,
grant

UBB classic? If you have no objection to sending a backup of the database, I can take a look and advise.

As far as I know, we don't have a direct UBB converter for YaBB 2. I thought, however, that a community member built one a long time ago for the old Y1 Gold line. If we can dig that up, we could convert your UBB files to the older YaBB format, then convert them from Y1 -> Y2. In theory, it should work. I'll dig around and see if I or another team member has a copy.

No promises, though. Since UBB isn't nearly as popular as it once once, we've not had many requests for converters.  Smiley

Infopop looks to be a hosted system, like proboards is.
Is UBB 6.6 a relative of UBB.threads / UBB.classic ? They seem to have a common link, these, but its not too clear.
