Any way to import UBB Classic?
I've had a UBB Classic board for many years and would like to use YaBB instead.  Any way to import my UBB Classic info (members, forums, posts, etc.) into YaBB?  I've done a few searches, but found nothing conclusive one way or the other.

Re: Any way to import UBB Classic?
First of all, buckle your seatbelt, as we're going to take a ride to the Converters board.   Wink

Secondly, there is currently no way to convert directly from UBB to YaBB.  However, you should be able to use this converter to convert from UBB to phpBB, and then use the YaBB Universal Converter to convert from phpBB to YaBB.   Smiley

You should always perform a complete back-up before making any changes or modifications to your forums.

Re: Any way to import UBB Classic?
I'm working on a UBB.classic converter. So if the phpBB route doesn't work, wait a while. The next major version of the converter (due out by the end of the month, hopefully), will include a UBB.classic converter. Smiley

Thanks.  I'll probably wait for your converter, AK.

Re: Any way to import UBB Classic?
It's not in my current plans for the converter, but it's possible. I hope to make the converter specification stable and available to all by year-end, or before. This will let anyone that knows Perl jump in and program a driver.

Re: Any way to import UBB Classic?
The UBB.Classic converter is available. It should work as well as the other two converters, so hopefully it's what you want.

Let me know of any problems.
