Re: Romanian
I started translating from English to Romanian. I wanted to try it out and I replaced the BoardIndex.lng and Display.lng files in the English pack folder and it worked fine, the words appeared in Romanian.

However, after I translated and uploaded Main.lng, the forum address returned the 500 Internal Server Error. When re-uploading the Main.lng file in English, the forum worked again.

I followed the instructions at http://www.yabbsupport.com/Frequently_Asked_Questions_and_Common_Issues#How_Do_I..., but no solution.

What next? Should I continue translating all files or stop and try to solve this problem? How?

Re: Romanian
Probably should try to solve it. Can you show me the .lng file that causes the problem?

Re: Romanian
Code Select All
%maintxt = (
'1' => "Nu ai permisiunea de a vedea aceasta sectiune.",
'2' => "Nu se considera o contributie utila un mesaj format numai din spatii, randuri goale sau linii!",
'22' => "Ultimul mesaj",
'23' => "Nu se poate deschide",
'27' => "Vezi profilul",
'28' => "Vizitator",
'30' => "in",
'32' => "Go",
'34' => "Intra in cont",
'67' => "Nu ai permisiunea de a schimba acest mesaj",
'70' => "Subiect",
'73' => "Nu ai permisiunea de a sterge acest mesaj!",
'97' => "Inregistreaza-te",
'102' => "Noutati",
'106' => "Eroare!",
'107' => "la",
'109' => "Inceput de catre",
'114' => "Intra in contul de administrare",
'125' => "Notifica",
'126' => "Vrei sa primesti un e-mail de notificare cand cineva replica la acest mesaj?\",
'132' => "Muta",
'133' => "Muta in",
'134' => "Nu ai voie sa muti subiecte...",
'138' => "Acest serviciu este numai pentru membri...",
'155' => "Modul Service",

Remove the highlighted backslash.

And...

Code Select All
%pidtxt = (
'01' => "toate",
'02' => "Apasa pentru pagina anterioara - apasa de doua ori pentru prima pagina.",
'03' => "Apasa pentru pagina urmatoare - apasa"
);

You need to add the double quote mark that's highlighted (it's missing in your code).

Re: Romanian
It's working now, thanks a lot!

In fact, the backslash should be right before the question mark and the second thing occured because of a stupid mouse gesture on my laptop  Embarrassed

I'll let you all know when I'm done with the translation.

Re: Romanian
You don't need to backslash that question mark since it's in a double quoted string.

I assume you're using Windows. If so, you may want to download and install Perl. Then you can open up a command prompt, change to that directory, and run "perl -c filename" to check it for syntax errors.

If you decide to do this, I may be able to provide some assistance with this.

Re: Romanian
The backslash existed in the English version, so I assumed it should exist in the translated version also. I will install Perl on my Windows machine, but I will do the rest of the work tomorrow (it's now 1:23 AM here and I'm sleepy).

I'll get back to you, when in trouble.

Hello, are you close to finishing the Romanian Language Pack? I need to setup a forum in romanian in a couple of days and without a romanian language pack I can't use Yabb. Thanks for your time.

Re: Romanian
We still have to finish the Admin Center and the Help section. The translation is without special characters ("fara diacritice").

Romanian Language Pack
If anyone could build a Romanian language pack for YaBB, I could install this forum software for my following message board project... The diacritics are: Ă, Â, Î, Ş, Ţ and ă, î, â, ş, ţ.  Cheesy I couldn't post in the language pack section - I don't know why - so I thought I'd post here. A mod could move this to the apropriate section ...

Re: Romanian
Is this still a work in progress? I could also use a Romanian Language pack. If there is anything I can help out with, in translating or anything, please let me know.
