Trouble installing the new 2.4 version from 2.1

Hi. I've been using YaBB for 8 years now.

Installed one new version 2.1 two years ago.
My hosting server, Dan of www.zipcon.net who installed the last two versions is having major problems installing the 2.4 one. He has tried 4 times now and no go. Here is what he ask me to post here:

Hi Jack,
I'm following the instructions from http://www.sciteclibrary.ru/Quick-Guide/English/extras/upgradeY2.html . Maybe they are wrong? Thanks, Dan

Any tips for the upgrade other than what is at http://www.sciteclibrary.ru/Quick-Guide/English/extras/upgradeY2.html . Upgrading from 2.1 to 2.4. Thanks, Dan

I notice that looking at the site mentioned above, the very first link: "Before Installing" does not work???
Not Found
The requested URL /Quick-Guide/English/extras/before.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

A. - Well, the Quick Start Guide (HTML format) is included with the download for 2.4, so Dan should open 'that' up locally. that will probably get past a few things.

B. Since Zipcon offers both Linux & Windows hosting, it would be useful to know 'which' he is trying to install your new version on.

C. Make sure he checks this Article about Quick Start guide Changes:

It's WINDOWS. I've never used Linux.
