Your always going to get hackers, spammers, harvestors trying to get what they can .... YaBB Security Blocks them, when it does, it places an error message in the YaBB Error log,

You can enable or disable different error email

In Admin Center -Security Center > The Guardian

Guardian Question

I've purposely only had two guests register on my forum - just to see if it works.  (I don't have it linked to my website yet so I can work out the bugs - if any).

But twice I have received an error message in my email like this:

Harvester Abuse Detected! on  26, 2010  2:45pm

Abusing user ID (Real Name): Guest -> ()
Abuse detected from IP:
Auto added abusing IP address to .htaccess file. (You can remove it from the list manually from the Guardian Admin): ,
Blocked Harvester: mozilla/4.7 (compatible; offbyone; windows 2000) webster pro v3.4

Crankbait Central Forum, The Guardian

What is this all about?  There's nothing in the Abusing User ID column or IP address - so why am I getting it?  Should I not link it to my website yet?

Thanks,
A Non-Technical Newbee
