Great work Captain !

Welcome ..........

First, not a complete upload, you were missing files; Second you edited "Allowed functions" from outside your domain AND enabled Referer Security, without purging.
Just remember past settings when setting current settings, many are related.

Great work Captain !

Was it something stupid by me and, if so, how can I prevent that in future.

Upload the attached file (after changing ext to pl) to your site.

Note:  within your path settings you have used relative paths for
Code
Select All
$htmldir = "../../bridgemate.com.au/yabbfiles";                       # Base Path for all public-html files and folders
$facesdir = "../../bridgemate.com.au/yabbfiles/avatars";              # Base Path for all avatar files
$uploaddir = "../../bridgemate.com.au/yabbfiles/Attachments";         # Base Path for all attachment files

The above NEEDS to be absolute dirs (not urls).

  Need allowed.txt from yabb2/Variables folder.

Edited:
I see the file (attachment) saved as paths_002, be sure and remove the _002

Upload the attachment here on this post and overwrite the old file (change ext. to pl before uploading) on your server.
Also attach yabb2/Variables allowed.txt

I couldn't login at all (not as admin nor as any other user). Therefor the Admin Center wasn't accessible.

The url is www.bridgeweb.com.au/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.p

No way I can get in the Admin Center

Above is why I directed you to password editing ...  But you state you can sign in and have an Admin Center button, but can not enter ?

What is the url to your forum ?

Attach your Settings.pl from the yabb2/Variables folder, here. You'll have to change the file ext. from pl to txt to attach.

That's what I try to say. Smiley

I didn't forget my password but nevertheless I've edited the admin.vars without any difference. Also a new account wasn't able to log in (same error message).

I think it has something to do with the settings about spam or spoof. I changed that to avoid multiple messages within 1 minute.

Not of help: it keeps saying:
This action is not allowed from an outside domain!!

Impossible if you ftp or use your host server panel to:
Quote:
Admin can't sign in

An Admin who has forgotten their password, may edit admin.vars file (located in ./Members folder) and overwrite the encrypted password with a plain text word, save and then login with this password.

If any of the above doesn't work, replace the admin.vars file with one from the installation zip and upload using AscII transfer mode (into the ./Members folder, overwriting the existing file), then use the default word admin as the username and password.

Also if I register as a new user I get the same error.
In one of the messages I saw something about spam or spoof.
