Members files should be 666

replace "regtime" with 1278853200

replace 'password',"/uQYFEPHKZ1xDTA2RRQY5A"

with: 'password',"letmein"
or some other plain text word ....

These replacements are just WAQ's for what might have been wrong.  But worth a try!

That is the only .pre file I have. The forum has been locked in maintenance mode until I can fix this.

I don't think the file is corrupt, but the software is not reading the file correctly.

the "Mquenza" pre file is the same user your viewing in the View & Decide profile ?  Do you have other .pre files in the ./Members folder at this time ? (actually viewing the folder).  Possibly a corrupt or incomplete one.

As I said in reply #5, everything in the xxx.pre file looks good. When I view the "Registration Log" and click on "View Profile and Decide" I see the garbled info

Thanks Capt and Derek

Yes sometimes it 6 and sometimes it seven.

A new issue seems to have developed. Take a look at the image.
When I view the .pre file in the members folder everything looks fine.  But as you can see in the image, it's a bit garbled.

I've also noticed the 6/7 digit issue before  - check it on this forum, I assume it's set to 6, but if you go to the registration page here and refresh the page a few times to test, you'll notice that sometimes it is 6 and other times it is 7...

The image is of the setting/preview page, How many do you get on the actual registration page ?  A setting of 6 could/should get 1 to 6 characters.

Yup, tried making that change. (no compression)

It works only for the first test registration and not the second registration.
Besides it worked in 2.4 with the same compression I used in 2.5.

Still doesn't address the 6 digit code changing to 7 digits

Its doing with:

Use Output Compression?
Output Compression reduces the bandwidth used in communicating with a user's browser.
Option(s) are only available if the server supports them.

Yabb 2.5

In the security center I enabled the Activate validation code (CAPTCHA) on registration.
I also have admin approval on new registrations.

The max code length is set to 6, yet when I view the code in the preview or on the registration page I see 7.

The first test registration went fine and only needed 6 captcha digits.

The second test registration Yabb required 7 captcha digits, when I view the Registration Log and click on "View Profile and Decide" I get a content error code (see Image)
