This is the problem:

Code
Select All
'637' => 'to register an account with $mbname.',

It should be in double quotes like this:

Code
Select All
'637' => "to register an account with $mbname.",

That should fix it for you...

Can you post up both of those lines that you have edited please so I can have a look - the one in the language file and the one in Subs.pl...

that worked! but another issue came up!

the code is not working for our board name.

the text on the page now reads as follows...

Only Registered Members are allowed to access this forum.
Please login below or click -here- to register an account with $mbname.

this is in file main.ing line 120

Can you help us get this bck to normal?

dave

I can't actually access your site, I get a forbidden error.

Try it this way instead:

Find this line in Sources/Subs.pl:

Code (Perl)
Select All
	$sharedLogin_text  = qq~<br />$maintxt{'634'}<br />$maintxt{'635'} <a href="$scripturl?action=register">$maintxt{'636'}</a> $maintxt{'637'}<br /><br />~;

And add the highlighted - replace the @ symbol with its HTML escape character, which is &#64;

Code (Perl)
Select All
	$sharedLogin_text  = qq~<br />$maintxt{'634'}<br />$maintxt{'635'} <a href="$scripturl?action=register">$maintxt{'636'}</a> $maintxt{'637'}<br />If you have any questions, please send an email to: <a href="mailto:support&#64;northwoodct.com">support&#64;northwoodct.com</a><br /><br />~;

If it's the same email address as the forums webmaster email address, then you could use the webmaster email variable instead, like this:

Code (Perl)
Select All
	$sharedLogin_text  = qq~<br />$maintxt{'634'}<br />$maintxt{'635'} <a href="$scripturl?action=register">$maintxt{'636'}</a> $maintxt{'637'}<br />If you have any questions, please send an email to: <a href="mailto:$webmaster_email">$webmaster_email</a><br /><br />~;

Hopefully one of those will sort it for you...

I added the text just fine thanks but now when I try to click on the link to send an email to our support, I get this error.

The object you requested, /cgi-bin/yabb2/%5C%22mailto:support%5C@northwoodct.com%5C%22, does not exist.

Also when i backslash the "@" symbol it shows up as a backslash on the site.

Please view http://www.northwoodct.com to see

The easiest thing to do would be to add it to the language file.

Find this line in Languages/English/Main.lng:

Code
Select All
'637' => "to register an account with $mbname.",

And add the highlighted (or something similar). Note that you'll need to backslash the @ symbol and quotes:

Code
Select All
'637' => "to register an account with $mbname.<br />If you have any questions, please send an email to: <a href=\"mailto:me\@mysite.com\">me\@mysite.com</a>",

That will appear right below the other text - see the attached image...
