Three template questions..
Version 2.5 AE

Iíve set the size of my forum at 960 pixels. Everything aligns perfectly except when I open a post. It lines up on the left but not on the right side. How can I fix thisÖ

...

Also, Iíve managed to get a 1px border around everything except the index page. I canít seem to find where this is done.

One last thing.. how/where do I go to put the on/off icons in the far left box like the old versions.

Thank for helping me.

 Not understood ... the on/off icons are still used in Y2.5 AE in the same locations.  Did you download the AE "Full" installation zip file ?  The upgrade package did not include the AE graphics.

 mmmm The Maintenance warning is in the header, not a post window.

 Around what ?  The entire forum ?  Could be done in the CSS, either added to the Container or MainContainer div's or with the inline style line of {yabb main} in the default.html

Iím sorry Iím not making myself clear..

I did download the full version.

Here is the difference between the old on/off buttons and where the new versions are..

Old Style
...

New style The on/new post icon is next to the board name instead of in the far left cell like the old version. In the old version off/no new posts and the on/new post icons were both in the far left cell

Itís not the maintenance warning. I just unchecked it but there is still a alignment problem on that side. But only when a post is open. All other pages align perfectly.

The header and the main section do not align properly..

Around all the cells on the index page. Like the Yabb forum has. I have set all sections in the css with a 1px border, Black. They show up everywhere except the index page.

Why not edit your BoardIndex.template as you did before old Version?

Code (CSS)Select All
.bordercolor {
	font-size: 12px;
	font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, Sans-Serif;
	background-color: #B1BDC9;
}

 As for the alignment. what is the url to your forum ?

Re: Three template questions..
Yes, I know that even the 2.2 version that I'm upgrading from now had that configuration. That's what Jet Li was referring to. He helped me with the code to change the on/off to earlier versions. I thought I saved that code but I can't find it.

Your code for the bordercolor helped a lot. Thank you! I don't know how I missed that!! But it gave me borders for everything on the index page except the "Last Post" column of cells.

Here's the url... The log in info I gave you before should work in there.

Re: Three template questions..
You have specified a non-value for table widths.  When specifying width= the value following the = (equal) sign either must be % (percent) or px (pixel)

example:
Code (HTML)Select All
<td rowspan="2" align="center" height="100" valign="middle" width="460">
		<img alt="Arizona Trail Talk" longdesc="The Place To Be When You're Not Riding" src="../../../../aztt_ele/forum_logo2.jpg" height="100" width="448"></td>

Note: above also includes height.  See the problem in attachment below.

Re: Three template questions..
Thanks John. Looks like I got in to big a hurry. I'm surprised that the xhtml validation didn't catch any of these mistakes?? Oh well, the template is still all messed up even after adding values.

I think I'll just start fresh and take my time. Thanks again.
