Can't understand this line.
This Line is not Understandable to me:

Step 1 - Editing the Path to Perl

Quote:
Make note of the very first line in each of these files, which is called a shebang or "path to Perl." Depending on your server, this line may need to be changed. This line must -always- start with #!.

From this,i can't understand anything.

Re: Can't understand this line.
Inside YaBB.pl, AdminIndex.pl and ModuleChecker.pl the very first line of the code is (highlighted)
Code (Perl)Select All
#!/usr/bin/perl --

###############################################################################
# YaBB.pl                                                                     #
###############################################################################
# YaBB: Yet another Bulletin Board #
# Open-Source Community Software for Webmasters                               #
# Version:        YaBB 2.5 Anniversary Edition                                #

  That line when the file is run, tells the program where (in what directory) the Perl Operating System is.
  On different Servers (the Hoster of the site, where the forum is) Perl is installed in different folders (directories), so that line may or may not be needed to be changed to reflect the correct location of Perl.
