I set up an advertising.lng file in the languages/english directory.

I place the add code in there and call it from the various template files using

Code
Select All
<td class="small" valign="middle" align="right">
$Advertising_txt{4};

	</td>

That is in my BoardIndex.template

change the number throughout the template in the different spots it shows up and it drags whatever ad code out of the language file.

All I do to change the ads on the page is edit the  advertising language file and put the code in the number to call up.

I have been working on a way to add them into other spots with yabb tags but having difficulty figuring that out so far. In the mean time I place the actual code in the template html file for my template in those spots until I figure that out.

Google ads

Hello,
I'd like to add Google Ads to my forum.  I've searched this forum and found that I should modify my default.html.  But I'm still confused.  Where is default.html?  I've got cgi-bin/Yabb, but I've also got Yabb in my web directory, and Yabbfiles in my web directory.  The only place I find a default.html is in /cgi-bin/yabb/Templates/default .  Strange thing is that my forum displays a graphic called logo5.gif, but default.html only contains a reference to logo1.gif.  So I don't think this is the right file.  Also, where in default.html should I add the google code?

Thanks!
