My site, www.omegaowners.com, hit a new milestone today - 1,000,000 publically visible posts Shocked

I run this site on a shoestring, from home, on a Virtual Machine, on an ADSL line. The VM has been allocated just 1Gb RAM.

It shows that YaBB can scale up, even on modest hardware, 'despite' the flat file datastore, which everyone slates.

Well done to YaBB for scaling up this well, and proving many wrong.  And
thank you
to the hard working developers, and everyone else involved in this project, for making this possible Cheesy

Cool! That's pretty impressive.

What is it with cars and fishing though? The biggest YaBB boards out there always seem to be about cars or fishing...

Fantastic job Boy. Maintaining a forum of that size must be a full time job. And what a great reference for us.

Derek's got a point. Perhaps one should start a forum about amphibious cars  Smiley

It needs surprisingly little effort/time to look after, as you will notice from our small moderation team. Its stability (excluding issues around searching on a large forum, with limited hardware resources) is a credit to YaBB's design and slick coding.

Apart from some minor custom tweaks, we are running the bog standard 2.5AE...
