took from his site and enlarged, without keeping aspect

Ah, right. It doesn't actually look that bad considering that it's been enlarged...

I locked the resolution ... so should be as high as the original.

Thanks CJ! Smiley

Okay Citron - something like this (I hope):

Use the image that CJ has kindly modified, and just add your logo right onto that... and then...

In the BlueNoir.html file, find this (what you edited before):

Code (HTML)
Select All
<table class="header" width="100%" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="0" border="0">
    <tr>
        <td align="left" valign="top" width="1%" height="40">&nbsp;</td>
        <td align="left" valign="middle" height="40">{yabb uname}<br />{yabb im}{yabb admin_alert}</td>
        <td align="right" valign="middle" width="400" height="100" rowspan="2"><a href="http://www.yabbforum.com"><img src="{yabb images}/YaBBNoirLogo.png" alt="YaBB - Yet another Bulletin Board" title="YaBB - Yet another Bulletin Board" border="0" /></a></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
        <td align="left" valign="top" width="1%" height="60">&nbsp;</td>
        <td class="small" align="left" valign="top" height="60">{yabb news}</td>
    </tr>
</table>

And replace with:

Code (HTML)
Select All
<table class="header" width="100%" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="0" border="0" height="235">
    <tr>
        <td align="left" valign="top" width="1%" height="40">&nbsp;</td>
        <td align="left" valign="top" height="40">{yabb uname}<br />{yabb im}{yabb admin_alert}</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
        <td align="left" valign="top" width="1%">&nbsp;</td>
        <td class="small" align="left" valign="top">{yabb news}</td>
    </tr>
</table>

Then in the CSS file (BlueNoir.css) find:

Code (CSS)
Select All
.header {
	background-image: url(./BlueNoir/header_bg.png);
	background-repeat: repeat-x;
	text-align: left;
}

And replace with (obviously the highlighted has to be the name of your image):

Code (CSS)
Select All
.header {
	background: url(./BlueNoir/earthcropped.jpg) no-repeat center top;
	text-align: left;
}

Then still in the CSS file find:

Code (CSS)
Select All
#maincontainer{
	width: 75%;
	margin: 0 auto;
	padding: 0;
	min-width: 770px;
}

And add the highlighted:

Code (CSS)
Select All
#maincontainer{
	width: 75%;
	margin: 0 auto;
	padding: 0;
	min-width: 770px;
        max-width: 1200px;
}

The max-width is only to make sure that your forum doesn't ever go wider than the background image. In my opinion it could be doing with being a bit wider still really, so if you change the image size, make sure that this is set to the same width as your image.

Oh, remember that external CSS and images get cached, so you might have to refresh your browser a few times to see the changes...

Awesome CJ and DB! I will try to incorporate the code. I am trying to incorporate it into the "fire n ice" template as well but, it looks like the background on this forum is a lot wider.
