deleting the visibility hidden aspect of the .QuickLinks,  add display:none to the .QuickLinks)

This is done in the (each) template css file.

Should look like this after editing
Code (CSS)
Select All
/* Quick-Profile-Links */
.QuickLinks {
  background-color: #DDDDDD;
  position: absolute;
  display: none;
  margin-top: 15px;
  margin-left: 0px;
  padding: 0px;
  border: 1px;
  border-color: #000000;
  border-style: solid;
  list-style: none;
  text-indent: 0px;

SO what files in the template does that change need to be made and what is the change and where does it go?  It seeems to work in the default template, but not the other's Such as Fire_and_ice, the boxes are stuck open still.  I didn't think this was a theme based item but a forum wide setting.

I don't know code, so without step by step exact directions,  I wouldn't be able to make that edit.

My add tabs function is now gone. ??   Huh

Never mind,  I had to hit the update session button.

You didn't make the change to the stylesheet? That would fix it all. Am I an admin so I can make the change?

i turned off the quicklinks in admin panel so people could read the posts as it was covering up the first few words in each post.

Checking the forum and using the dev tools in my browser disabling the visibility hidden aspect of the .QuickLinks works fine for me. All of the quicklinks appear on the page at once (which would be fixed if you add display:none to the .QuickLinks) and hovering and the x button work properly. Just need to remove the visibility line and add display: none to the class and it should work fine.

Keeping issues in one thread per request.

Issues other than javascript:quicklinks

in Admin, the only way you can get to the installed mods is by clicking on "Detailed Version Check" then it allows you to scroll down to select mod to edit.  Maybe same issue as initial issue or something wrong with the admin panel?

CustomPages mod doesn't work either.  They all drop you to the main page of the forum.

The Help Function isn't showing help items, unless I did not add the items to the right column correctly.

Example of link for custom pages
http://nwforddiesels.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=cps
all pages are located at cgi-bin/yabb2/Variables/pages

As I recall it working before,  is someone typed cps in their thread, it would then link to the above link so folks who were not familiar with the CPS unit, they could then read up on it.

It should have display:none in the .QuickLinks. Maybe I didn't notice that it wasn't there. Mouseover should work. It worked when I was toying with it before I said to remove the visibility.

That worked !  But popup wouldn't close, when X clicked.

Ya Weird,  Now all the users usernames in all the posts have the boxes open. Mouseover isn't functioning.

Okay. Remove visibility: hidden, from .QuickLinks in the stylesheet. That is the last change that was made between whatever version he has and the newest. That will do the trick.

was the id of the div has a ql in front of it, and he new javascript used to take "ql" plus a number as an argument, whereas now it takes just the number as an argument and adds the "ql" when it does the getElementById(). The problem was either his was passing the ql and the javascript didnt need it, or his was was not passing the ql and the javascript did need it.

  I added that to his files ...
