Database Help Needed

Have you modified your YaBB forum to use a database such as MySQL? Are you familiar with YaBB's code, know at least a little Perl programming, and have the ability to create and manipulate databases?  Then YaBB needs you on the team!  This is our only struggle over the years with getting out a truly next gen YaBB and keeping large volume forums in YaBB.  We have some exciting features coming up for the next version of YaBB, especially with Ajax, but database implementation is key.

Please PM me if you can help.

YaBB 3's most recent code now supports MySQL databases and flat file.  Due to the flat file support still existing, it is not optimized to take full advantage of the database.  However, this does provide speed increases, stability, and better integration with your site and other applications.  Along with this change, the development team has implemented UTF-8 encoding which is more universal and allows anyone using any language pack to view foreign languages and not worry about conversion issues.
