My English is not very good, so please excuse the Google - translation and You may laugh, if you want to… Wink)  I hope you understand me yet ...

I want to use the forum YaBB in a protected area. To enter the protected area, I use .htaccess. Here I have created a text database, where the members are stored with an ID, name, address, e-mail, function, and password. Optimally, it would be now if I could use the existing member database as forum members.
Is it possible that change forum so that I can use the existing member list as a forum member?
If so, what part of the code change I had to?

Not a separate text list.  YaBB uses a delimited text based database.
If you want to have a separate Category or a restricted board simply set up a membergroup restricted to the members you wish to have access to this area.

See the YaBB Codex

NOTE: The YaBB Codex has a translation widget at the top of the forum.
