Are you selecting Notification when you Post ?  In the Post window:

Notify of replies:      Check this if you wish to be notified of replies to this topic.

or if you have Board Notifications set, should state:

Notify of replies:      You already have notification set for all new posts in this board!

All the other emails are sent ok
it's just the ones to admin if someone reply's to an admin post

One thing I noticed is in my hosts cpanel webmail
it say's the below it's trying to send mail using the wrong address
i.e. webmaster@yoursite.com
eventhough it's set to webmaster@321-hosting.co.uk ?

 Have No idea ... usually SMPT is used on Windows Host Servers, is yours ?  Unix/Linux is Sendmail.  Check with your Host to find out what they use.

Hi
Advanced Settings, email tag,

Select SMTP Server Authorization Type
OFF means No Authorization is required by the SMTP server

I have it set too Plain

SMTP Authorization Username  "empty"
SMTP Authorization Password  "empty"

Webmaster Email Address   webmaster@321-hosting.co.uk


I ticked

Notification email for new member?
If checked, a notification concerning the registration of a new member will be sent to the email address below.

Notification email address:
If left blank, the email will be sent to: webmaster@321-hosting.co.uk

left empty


is that OK?


ALL the rest in usercp is set ok I think?

First the admin must "allow" Notifications and also permit Email Notifications in the Admin Center.
 Then in the User Profile, he/she must enable the option of being Notified either by message, pop up and/or email.

when someone answers a post posted by admin
