Hi,

I just so happen to have an old 2.1 board that I never got around to deleting from my server.

Anyway, I'm really not an expert in how Recent.pl works, but from having a quick play about I think this 'might' do the trick - I'm not promising anything, but give it a go...

In Sources/Recent.pl find:

Code (Perl)
Select All
            if (!$iamadmin && $access ne "granted") { next; }

And replace with (obviously change the highlighted to your board ID):

Code (Perl)
Select All
            if ((!$iamadmin && $access ne "granted") || ($curboard eq "general")) { next; }

Again, I have only looked at this very quickly, so no promises...

Most recent post filtering?

I have a YaBB 2.1 forum. I know, a little dated. Anyway, I have it set with a link at the bottom in the Info Center to show the 30 most recent posts. And the link works fine.

However, I have one particular board that is very busy and very controversial. And many of my members have asked me if I could filter that board OUT of the 30 most recent post results, since it dominates the posts there, often pushing other posts out before most members ever get to see them.

Does anyone know if this is possible and, if it is, how to do it with YaBB 2.1?
