YaBB 2.5
shared server memory usage

Our website, featuring a YaBB 2.1 board, was recently warned about too much memory usage. After shutting the board down, our memory usage went back down to almost nothing. Well, I did an upgrade/install of 2.5 today and our memory usage shot right back up into the red zone!

Has anyone any tips regarding memory usage on a shared server? I've enabled gzip compression. We have ~300 users and some pretty long/old threads. Is that bad?

Any tips are appreciated.

First try to find out why or when your hitting the red zone, enable the Forum Log and see if users or an individual is doing intensive searches .... or something unusual.
