Carsten thanks but can you explain where can I get this mod and how to install it ?

I get a lot of spam and I want to be able to remove or hide posts that are spam.

Thanks

I'll pay that one.

4500 odd messages from this long term user who turned feral.  If I could wipe him from the history I would be happy.

I too have removed a handful of posts from a spammer before banning their email address, IP and then removing the account (do that every day in fact) but for 4500 messages this needs something more clever (far more clever than me!).

Thanks for the reply's fellas.

A.

I found it quite quick to go to "Members", find the user that I wanted to delete, get a list all messages posted by the user, then go to each message in turn and click "Remove".  Then as the final stage I deleted the user.

When I look back in time I realize from various "clues" (e.g. an email address containing the word sex) when the user registered that he was going to be trouble, so in retrospect I should never have approved him.

Hi there ayjayeff-

There really isn't any practicable way to do this other than to write code, and its fairly complex. THUS - you are not getting any 'bytes' on this topic.

Prime difficulty - topics/threads are really chains. take a look in the Messages folder at the file structures. (its embedded in the .ctb files)

You could probably search for a users posts and then move/split them to their own board, and 'excise' them all there - that would disentangle them.

Good Luck
Cool

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Hmmm... no bites on this one.
I was hoping that someone had already done this.

Should I post it in BoardMod as a request instead?

If you remove the /Members/username.* files they become an ex-member but I need to remove all their content too.

Is there a script method to remove all posts from a user?
