I've always had issues with godaddy's shared hosting. To be honest, if you have the knowledge, your better off now days buying a budget VPS, and using a free webhost panel like ZPanel. You get everything you need and some.

I have a client using GoDaddy economy - no Perl support on the economy.

Having experienced some other issues on behalf of my client, I'm not sure I would recommend GoDaddy for any serious hosting. While their tech support was helpful in getting some hosting issues handled, I probably could have handled those issues myself if they were using a less 'custom' and less 'helpful' user account interface.

Good Luck

I agree with Dandello - GoDaddy is strictly for hobbyists or small businesses (not net driven) despite their claims.  I have a client on their service - it was not my choice.

BTW - I saw a good comment about them - "I'll sign up when Danica is at my front door"  Cheesy

amen, brother...

Cool

I think that their economy Linux plan might not work - looks like no Perl Support, you would need to check that aspect. I know they support .htaccess, and I don't think there are any file count maximums.  (YaBB is written in Perl)

http://www.godaddy.com/hosting/web-hosting.aspx?ci=9009

So the other plans would probably work... Premium ($7.99/month)   Give them a call or send an e-mail to check on the Economy plan situation before you sign up.

Good Luck
