A further quick comment
Most spammers seem to use the major domain providers like gmail, hotmail etc, so banning these would deny the site to the majority of registrants or users. That's why I never used this feature. I now see some spammers are getting very "clever". There's no way domain blocking could deal with this character for example:   Shocked

Hi again,

It appears to mean that only registrants or posters from certain domains may access the forum. If not is it perhaps for banning specific addresses or whole domains such as google.com (which?!)

Yep. That's exactly what it means. It doesn't mean that everybody else won't have 'access' to your forum though - it just means that they won't be able to register etc. with any other account than those entered.

Banning is done just below: 'Blocked Email Domains'.

Can somebody explain what this really means. It's found in the Email Domain Filter in Security Center > Antispam Settings:

Mandatory Email Domains
Enter the Email domains that will be the only ones that can be selected during registration, guest posting or profile changes.
