My file structure is:-
/
  html
     mydomain.com
        cgi-bin
           yabb2 (the old files)
           yabb2.5 (the new files)
        yabbfiles (the old files)

Now where do I put the new yabbfiles during installation/upgrade?

Regards,

Maurice

how about ???

     mydomain.com
        cgi-bin
           yabb2 (the old files)
           yabb2.5 (the new files)
       html
           yabbfiles (the old files)
           yabb25files

Wink

Normally (at least on most Apache powered webservers) 'cgi-bin' is not under the html/htdocs hierarchy.  However, if that is the way it is set up now, you should be fine.  The important thing is that the new sets of files are at the same 'level' in the hierarchy as the old ones....

Below - see a screenshot of my 'testing' server's folder structure - its running Apache on Windows using the XAMPP suite.  The same would also be true on a Mac or the Unix/Linux version of Apache as well

Good Luck with your upgrade.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Hi JonB,

So yabbfiles isn't the mandatory name then? That was the thing that was worrying me! Many thanks for that.
