Under Boards - check the 'Allowed to view topics:' under each board you want visitors to be able to see - none selected at all means everyone (including visitors) - can see the board in question.

If you only have one solution to a problem you're not trying hard enough!

Maybe you can try to use a different template to see what happens ... just in case it's simply a template problem.

Your problem may have to do with a missing css file, i.e., this may be a template issue. What's possibly missing is the following:

Code
Select All
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/Templates/Forum/default.css" type="text/css" />

Then again, and Dandello will know much better than I do about this, but it seems that you're using your BlackNoir.css template rather than the default default.css template. So maybe I'm not right after all.

Dandello?

By the way, do you really need all of the following scripts?
Code
Select All
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/sh_main.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/sh_cpp.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/sh_css.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/sh_html.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/sh_java.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/sh_javascript.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/sh_pascal.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/sh_perl.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/sh_php.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/sh_sql.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/YaBB.js"></script>

Maybe you do need all of those scripts; probably you do need them. I know in our forum we only have one script listed, only one style sheet listed, and only one css template listed.

Again, Dandello, am I anywhere close to bringing up what may be wrong?  Wink

Bottom line: If you recently changed anything in your template, maybe you inadvertently deleted some code that you need. I've done that before. If you have a backup copy of your forum, you might want to compare the source code against each file, the older one, and the newest one.

Forget it everyone. Evidently those two lines should be fine, so maybe he has an extra line or two of scripts going on. It might be worth it to take one line out at a time to see what happens, and then put it back in if it doesn't work.

Right now you have two style sheets listed. That doesn't seem right to me. Maybe you should choose one or the other, and see what happens. Just be careful.

Anyone; is this right? This actually seems to be okay.

Code
Select All
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/Templates/Forum/BlackNoir.css" type="text/css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://jeffgordon-24.com/forum/yabbfiles/shjs/styles/sh_style.css" type="text/css" />

Maybe you should try adding a board or category just to see what happens; and then of course remove it later on.

Just thinking aloud here ...

Okay, I see what's going on. As you can see below, you literally have nothing showing up in between the start of your board index category block, and the end of it.

In the case with our forum, we literally have hundreds of lines that make up, and contain our boards and categories.

No wonder nothing is showing up. Keep in mind, however, that I'm looking at your forum as a non-member. Are your sure that your members can see the categories, and not just you as an admin? If so, then everyone else here seems to be right in that guests are evidently being disallowed to view your forum.

If this is actually the case, and I know you've already checked to see if your settings are correct, but maybe you can try to momentarily disallow guest access, save that option, and then allow it again; kind of like resetting the forum if it might help.

Code
Select All
<!-- Board Index Category block start, should be left as is -->

As a non-member looking at your forum, you have
nothing listed here at all when in fact you should
have many lines showing up between these prompts.

<!-- Board Index Category block end, should be left as is -->

A spelling error on my part was corrected, but it was corrected too late for my quote in this post. Oops! Sorry about that.  Roll Eyes

By the way, since your test board is now showing up just fine, maybe you can compare its settings with your other boards to see what might be different; and then make corrections to make them visible again.

Okay, I see that your test board came up just fine, and in fact, it is now showing up in between those two lines that I mentioned.

I think we're getting closer to figuring out what the problem may be ... getting there!

Yes, I saw that. This is good news. So ...

Since your test board is now showing up just fine, maybe you can compare its settings with your other boards to see what might be different; and then make corrections to make them visible again.

Let me give that a try.
