There are no actions to perform.
I keep getting this message when I reply to a post, I have to try it a number of times before it takes.
Here is the message I get "The Subject field was not filled out. It is required."
There is a subject in the reply.
Thanks in advance.

There are no actions to perform.
I assume you mean it's happening here instead of on your own forum?
Wouldn't surprise me if somebody tried to do some tweaking while forgetting the first rule of refactoring: DON'T BREAK IT!

On the other hand, since I was able to post this and so cannot verify a bug - are you having trouble accessing any other forums? I'm thinking a connection issue... or maybe the problem got fixed.

Back to this issue again, It isn't only me, I have about 10 members that say they can't post.
The message is something like?
The Subject field was not filled out. It is required, And there is a subject in the reply. Any one have any ideas on how to correct this, It is really becoming a pain.
It also happens sometimes with a new post, Have to try to post a message 3 or 4 times before it will take.
Thanks in advance.

Bill, I don't know if this is a bug or not, but every once in a while our YaBB 2.4 version will produce the same errors.

Solution: Even though permissions for *.var files are probably set at 644 in your forum, as they generally are for us, YaBB's own instructions state they're to be set at 666. So for members who have had the problems you described, if you change permissions from 644 to 666, that will probably solve those problems.

By the way, if you don't already know it, permissions for the Members folder is supposed to be 755.

I suppose one might simply change the permissions for all members from 644 to 666, but I haven't done that in our forum, and as far as I know, everything seems fine. Well, with the exception of an occasional member who emails me about not being able to post, or not being able to edit their profile, etc.

By the way, if this doesn't work for you, you can always revert to your original CHMOD settings.

There are no actions to perform.

That was the case in our forum as well. So maybe the problems have nothing to do with YaBB itself, but instead with the respective servers we're on.

In any case, changing permissions solved those problems.
