Sorry that didn't work. Maybe it something specifically to do with YaBB 2.5 versus 2.4 that we use. On the other hand, that's probably not it since this problem would be reported more often. Maybe as Dandello pointed out, it's more likely to be a cache issue.

I now recall two other things I do that eliminate this problem with my 2 admin accounts as well as when I'm using different test accounts. But this won't be much of a consolation for you, or for anyone else who's having this same problem.

I'm fond of staying logged into our forum throughout the day while I work, but every once in a while certain items and options disappear if I've been logged on too long. The quick fix is to log out, and then log back in again.

Another fix for me is the rebooting of my laptop.

I don't know if this would cause a problem, but it's not unusual for me to be logged into our forum on a laptop, a desktop, an iPod, and an iPad at the same time.

Morning, noon, or night, have a great one!

ok this is the ip of your your server that your forum lives on http://64.38.192.171/
as you can see that there will not just be your website that lives on that server
just think of that server as if it was your computer and that evrey website on that server
is a program the more people that go on the websites on that server is just the same as you
opening up more and more programs and at some point you are going to get to the point where
your pc will start to slow down the same happens with servers and by load i mean the amount of cpu, ram, hdd, bandwidth that are taking up running low on any can cause a bottleneck
but if your host if all good then its time to start to debug the forum goto
admin > Advanced Settings > Run Board in Debug Mode? >> only admins see output and save
then check the loading times and start to see what we can see
Edited:
ment to ask is this all the time or just at certain times of the day?

Still having issues, Here is a message I got from a member.

So this is the message  received when I hit "post message"  for the reply
System Information

You do not have permission to post new topics in this board

and then it was followed by this message when I tried again

System Information

Unable to open ./Messages/.txt
Verbose: No such file or directory
Took me 6 tries to finally get the previous reply to post

Thanks in advance.

Bill, just to remind you, whenever that's happened with one of our members, everything is fine again when I change that member's permissions from 644 to 666.

On a related note if you haven't already done this, it's a good idea to have one or more memberships that are actually yours to use so that you can see what others see while using your forum. It's also good to have at least one other admin for your personal use such as having an admin2 account, or whatever you choose to name it.

Good luck!
