Re: Segnette.com fishing forum
One of the beauties of YaBB's template system - it's versatile as all get out - don't like tables? Turn them to divs. Need something else? Add an iframe or a .tpl or read another file...  Cheesy

Merv still uses YaBB. He simply switched to another forum software for that particular forum of his because of a specific problem he had that needed to be addressed in a specific way.

He's no longer a member here, but that was because of issues with the way this forum is/was being operated. Both the owner of this domain, and this forum's only admin have heavy work schedules with their own careers, so they haven't been able to manage things here. Eventually, however, it's believed that this forum will get an upgrade, and be back in good shape at some point, so it's all good when it comes down to it.

After all, the support staff here is superb, and further development of YaBB is fully active. Smiley

As for Merv's Ex Member status here, and that shuttered YaBB forum you noticed, he's still actively helping to test future versions of YaBB as you can see here.

Another Ex Member of this forum, and a well known YaBB legend still supports YaBB, and he actively helps to develop future versions (you can see his forum here).

YaBB itself is much bigger than just this forum. Cool

Re: Segnette.com fishing forum
You are exactly right, it's not a YaBB forum. Not that I'm happy about that but that's a big ole story that I don't care to get into.

As far as the site and forum having nothing in common...

Well... Lets see. The site is about fishing. The forum is about fishing. How much more in common do they have to be?!?!

I smell a spammer! Grin

Exactly!
Roll Eyes

If or whenever the overworked JonB is able to get to his admin duties, he can easily change the Ex Member status of your posts prior to this date so that your status is correctly showing you as an active member. As I described how to do it, which he probably already knows how to do, all he needs to do is to change the start date of your registration to its actual state. Along with doing that, if needed, he can just as easily change the count of your posts to reflect its accuracy.

It's good to see you back. Cool
