Ain't that the truth.  Smiley

But then, ethics is a pet peeve of mine. I won't even look over the details of phone calls my wife has made even though all of our calls on the home phone lines now list each and every call we make.

She teasingly said to me about our upgraded phone service, "Uh oh. Now you can see who I'm calling."

Not my style.  Roll Eyes

In any case, I just corrected the missing text about how to delete a member from a profile's ignore list. Now it looks like the following:

Quote:
Ignorelist:
If you do NOT wish to receive (i.e. ignore) PMs from
some or all other forum members, either add their
usernames to the box using the link, or check the
box to block all PMs.

Note: This will NOT block PMs or any Broadcast
Messages sent to you from the forum Admin.

To remove a name from the list, just
double-click the name, and then click OK.

Similarly, I just noticed that instructions in the "Buddy List" got it right as follows (no need to edit in an addition):

Quote:
Buddy List
This is your 'Buddy List'.
Here, you can remove and add names.
Double-click on a name to remove from your 'Buddy List'

Mind you, this is for the YaBB 2.4 version. Maybe YaBB 2.5 got it right.  Wink

Morning, noon, or night, have a great one!

An admin can do this, too, but of course that wouldn't be ethical. Members should do this on their own.

Since this subject was brought up, I noticed that once a member is included in the Ignorelist: there's no instruction about how to remove a member from that list.

I just learned however that you can remove a member from that list by double-clicking the name.

Hmmm, I'm now thinking I should add this instruction to the following:

Quote:
Ignorelist:
If you do NOT wish to receive (i.e. ignore) PMs from
some or all other forum members, either add their
usernames to the box using the link, or check the box to
block all PMs.
Note: This will NOT block PMs or any Broadcast Messages
sent to you from the forum Admin.

To remove a name from the list, just
double-click the name, and then click OK.

Come to think of it, a line break should be added to the line before "Note:" as it's formatted above.

Edited to correct a formatting issue, and to add another comment.

I don't think an admin can do it, but members have the ability to put other members on their 'ignore' list - which effectively bans PMs from the ignored member.

Hi!

Does anyone know if it is possible to ban one member from sending PM to another member?
