I'm working on 'something' áWink

Here's a creative exercise -

A. Think up a list of the first 10 words that come to mind when you think of YaBB specifically.

B. Now think up another list of the first 10 words that you associate with forums in general.

Please mark them so I know which is which!!!

There are no real rules, and you can make second lists at another time, or add terms in other languages (be sure to give an accurate translation to English please - Google isn't that good on single terms.) á One or two word phrases are also OK. áSome words could be on both lists, and its not an issue if 'your words' are on someone else's lists.

You will all 'see' the results later. áSmiley

I hope you have as much fun as I did on this.

(and now we know what JonB considers fun áCheesy)

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Whew! I'm in trouble when it seems I'm having a hard time thinking of 10 words for anything.  Roll Eyes

With quick thinking in no particular order, but as they came to mind ...

My list for YaBB:

1. Participation
2. Sharing
3. Contributors
4. Chatting
5. Community
6. Supportive
7. Fun
8. Friends
9. Friendly
10. Inclusive

My list for forums in general:

1. Help
2. Support
3. News
4. Projects
5. Groups
6. Associations
7. Clubs
8. Feedback
9. Political
10. Education

I guess when it comes down to it people will think of different things when coming up with words to describe a forum, especially if they happen to operate a forum for a specific reason.

Interesting exercise.

Morning, noon, or night, have a great one!

Oh no... I've failed the exercise.

That could be because I am not familiar with many other forums out there or it could be from lack of sleep due to all the 18 hour shifts that I have been working.

I have only tried one other and I guess I just couldn't get past my hang-up of being "hung-up" on YaBB as far as, ease of the administration center and the great security features.

I had moved to one of these other forums only to find myself come back to YaBB. Maybe I had a temporary malfunction of my brain.

Oh wow!!!!!!!!! Hope it wasn't sign of a mid-life crisis approaching. áGrin
