Re: How do I change the welcome text ?
If you mean at the top of the board where it says:

Quote:
Welcome, Guest. Please Login or Register

This you will find in the file:

cgi-bin/yabb2/Languages/English/Main.lng

Look for

Code Select All
'248' => 'Welcome,',
'249' => 'Please',
'316' => 'Inbox',
'317' => 'Date',
'318' => 'From',
'320' => 'Sent box',
'324' => 'To',
'377' => 'or',

You need to download the file and edit in a text editor.

Cheers

'636' => '-here-',

I believe you can - but make sure you don't use any single quotes in the text line unless you escape them with a back-slash. Use this \' , not this '. Otherwise you will break it.

I don't need this myself, but wow! That's pretty cool.  Smiley

Long ago I added text to a system message as follows (after registered members only):

Code Select All
System Information

Sorry, this service is for registered members only. However, membership is free, so please become a member by clicking Register on the menu above.

On a related note, through the Admin Center, I love that we admins can easily edit the automated email messages that people get. That feature is very convenient, and user friendly.

It would be great to be able to make easy user friendly edits in the same way with system messages.  Wink

Morning, noon, or night, have a great one! ...
