Thank you!
To whomever changed it, thank you for allowing us to view up to 50 of the last messages that have been posted in the forum (versus the default of only 25). Particularly when there is a lot of activity, this really helps.

Some time ago I changed our own forum's default setting so that members can view the last 100 messages as they may choose to do. Sometimes I need this feature when I'm updating topics, and our members evidently really appreciate it as well.

Then again, YaBB's search feature can be just as helpful.  Smiley

Another great improvement to this support forum. Thanks! Smiley

I'm afraid to tell you this, but the only miracle worker here on the DeathStar is Darth Vader.

A good example of constructive criticism
I've been a long time reader of Carsten's forum, and a big fan of course, but I didn't want to register there just to make one post. Besides, a current discussion there directly relates to this forum, and so it belongs here.

On that note, this post from Batchman is a pretty darned good example of how to give constructive criticism in a professional manner. In fact, I was so impressed with how he handled things, I couldn't help but to heed his advice.

After all, I pretty much agree with everything he stated.  Smiley

As for the posts that follow after his, at least some of the posts as I type this, they are pretty darned good examples of criticism that is very clearly based on personal bias. Even a personal hatred if you will, and as you can see for yourself, hatred is ugly.

Read them for what they are, and they'll speak volumes; the real truth of how awful people can be when they, as I've stated before, group together in a "gang mentality" to beat someone up.

It might be good to point out that not a single person who posted their personal bias has ever contacted me to give constructive criticism. Not a single one of them; not even once.

But that's okay. It's human nature to attack. I understand it, and I can forgive it. They are just pissed, and frustrated, and I get that. It's partly the excuse for my bad behavior in the way that Batchman described about my advocacy to make this a better forum.

Ironically, the constructive criticism that Batchman gave so eloquently has already been heeded by me because of other YaBBers who contacted me directly with their own constructive criticism. My last few posts will show the results. I love the irony.

As for why Carsten left this forum, it would be shortsighted for anyone to think that it had anything to do with how I was so wrongly censored. Maybe what happened to me was a catalyst, but that would have been the extent of it.

Carsten had, and has valid reasons for leaving. I just hope for the sake of YaBB that he returns. YaBB will be much better off if he does.

****************************************

Now, back to my regular programming of heeding, and acting upon the wonderfully constructive criticism I've been given.

As for you haters, you'll do what's in your heart, and I trust that will be good.
