do you have a live demo

Not really I'm afraid, no. I'd only just started before I realized it was impossible to strip the login, register, memberlist etc. pages. It would also be far easier if everything wasn't in tables - but just having easy access to the HTML would be enough. Smiley

cool no probs lol when i have had free time i have been replacing tables with divs but sometimes it ends up looking like a bomb explodes on the page and there bits and pieces all over the places  Roll Eyes@me lol

Ha ha! It can be a bit of a task, especially when you are used to working with tables. You've just got think of it differently, and not everything should be put into divisions - for example, the Board Index and Message index should be definition lists in my opinion, because that's basically what they are. And when HTML5 is standard, posts should be in the 'article' tag.

We have had a few complaints (mine included) about the 'pop-up' Reply mode.

I initially didn't like the pop up, but I guess I must have gotten used to it because I kind of like it now.

In any case, regarding the inability to see posts behind a reply (if the close button isn't used), it's never been a particular bother to me because of our ability to have a second window opened for referencing.

I don't like "admin only" controls for something as important as that.

Generally speaking, I too dislike "admin only" controls unless they absolutely serve a specific, and necessary need.

Morning, noon, or night, have a great one!

I agree with the apparent consensus, pop-up reply choice should be a User Control Panel option.

"I" think the discussion Derek mentioned earlier probably should be the guidance for development.

I am going to leave it on for now.

One of the goals for the future is get all the html and css out of the various scripts and into templates and stylesheets where they belong. Then it won't be such a hassle to change the look and feel of things - it will all be easily accessible without threatening to break everything.

And although the html 'purists' would say that tables should never ever be used for anything but tabular data - guess what? There's actually a lot of tabular data in YaBB.

But moving to a proper combination of divisions and tables is a bit tricky.

If you only have one solution to a problem you're not trying hard enough!
