Including myself. I'm going to make myself look terrible here, but when we were younger, a friend and myself stole a fish tank from outside somebody's house - when we got it home we noticed that it was cracked, so we took it back again. Undecided

they actually had people carry TV's through 4' deep water. My thoughts were... No power dummy. How are you going to watch it.

Plenty of looting. I understood the ones taking food and water from closed stores but they actually had people carry TV's through 4' deep water. My thoughts were... No power dummy. How are you going to watch it.  Grin

The 10PM advisory just moved it even farther west again.

Mobile Bay now.

Ah, right. It doesn't sound great losing a roof though - if that happened to just one house over here it would be front page news.

The sad thing is, the way people acted afterwards. I know many of them went through a lot more than I did but, people just don't have to act the way that some of them did.

It made us all look bad

I can't remember anything about how people acted after - and there was loads of coverage over here - what were people doing? Looting and whatnot?

aren't you near New Orleans?

10  miles west. I'm actually on the oppisite side of the river though, so I didn't get the flooding like they did.

I had some damage to my home but not anything serious. Had to replace roof and stuff. No damage to the interior. I was very lucky.

I rode it out at work, since my job doesn't permit me to leave. It was one heck of an experience. I can't imaging how it would have been with a direct hit. (the eye passed about 35 miles east of me)

The sad thing is, the way people acted afterwards. I know many of them went through a lot more than I did but, people just don't have to act the way that some of them did.

It made us all look bad Angry

Out of interest, did Hurricane Katrina affect you much - aren't you near New Orleans?
