Language Corrections
A couple of minor language edits which I've been meaning to mention for some time...

In Help/English/User/user02_profile.help:

Code Select All
<br />If you have a website, you can enter the title here. This will be the text the URL (below) will attached to.</p>

Should read:

Code Select All
<br />If you have a website, you can enter the title here. This will be the text the URL (below) will be attached to.</p>

And in Languages/English/Profile.lng:

Code Select All
'326' => 'Notify me of new Notifications by eMail',

I believe doing it in that case is the German way (I could be wrong) - I guess it should be Email, E-mail, email or e-mail.

if you want the original default pre-www 'ARPANET' it is email or if you wan't post-MSN Hotmail it is e-mail <I'll let you ponder over that one lol  Wink

Re: Language Corrections
I went with e-mail. Because that's how Microsoft spells it.  Grin

Re: Language Corrections
I guess this should be considered and made fluent throughout YaBB. Maybe it's verging on OCD, but little things niggle me like that.

Re: Language Corrections
Consistency is a
good
thing. And so is good spelling and grammar in the language in question. And with all due apologies to the people speaking/writing UK English - but 'CHMOD are' just sounds wrong.  Roll Eyes  Cheesy

Re: Language Corrections
Really we could do with someone/people who are better than average in whichever language to specifically sort the language files out - they haven't even really got to know what everything does (though it would help), they've just got to go through them and re-word/correct them.

I have to admit that I'm not great with spelling and grammar myself, and think a lot of the mistakes are because most of the devs didn't/don't speak English as their first language.

Where's that from?

Re: Language Corrections
'CHMOD are' is in Setup.pl - which, apparently, absolutely no one has looked at until now to correct the misspellings there. (At least it's normally run only once per install.)  Shocked
