Don't have AdminIndex.pl

I have Yabb 2.2.3.  I used the wrong upgrade file so I decided to overwrite the files with a backup I had.  I now don't have an AdminIndex.pl file and can't do any admin tasks with my forum.  The forum is back to zero entries which is fine with me 'cause I had a lot of spam.  How do I get the AdminIndex.pl file? Cry

I found AdminIndex.pl.  I changed it to reflect the full path on the  Modules, Modules Upload and Modules Digest Lines.  I did this by naming it www.myforum name/cg-bin/yabb2/AdminIndex.pl.  When I click on the admin tab in the forum it goes to that page but nothing happens.  It is a blank page. Since your forum as no messages in it, maybe you should upgrade to a newer version - at least to 2.3.1. From there you can upgrade to the most current version and add anti-spam mods. (It will also solve your AdminIndex.pl problem.)

Cry  I updated to 2.3
1. Still can't get to Admin Center.  Shows correct url but nothing happens.  I can get into admin cp.
2.  The boards that I had in 2.2.3 are gone as well as the logo that I had on top of the Forum.
3.  The top of YaBB shows 2.3 but the bottom shows 2.2.3
4.  I can't run Setup.pl, the url shows but nothing happens.

Other than that it is working well  Cry

I'm sure that one of the files is not pointing to the right place for Admin Center.  Anyone know which file or files it is?  Also the same to run Setup.pl.

Setup.pl should be in the cgi-bin/yabb2 folder right next to your YaBB.pl. So the path to Setup would (normally) be "http://yoursite.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/Setup.pl".
Setup itself doesn't need to point to anything as it should give you the opportunity to put in the proper paths to everything else it needs.

Xnoddyx is good - he'll get you squared away.  Wink

1.  I was upgrading from 2.2.3 to 2.3

2.  I don't have the old forum online

3.  I tried to start over because I hadn't watched the forum in over a year  and wound up with over 360,000 posts and members.

4.  I'd rather not post my forum URL publicly so I'll email it to you if I can now find it.  I had a link to it on my website and deleted it 'cause I was starting to get so much spam.  Can you tell me what the URL would be (my URL/?./?/?)

That's where it is but when I click on it I get taken to a URL  (http://yoursite.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/Setup.pl and the page is blank.

Send xnoddyx a PM with your site particulars. (Like the actual URL and login info. He's our goto guy for things like this.)
