Hi everyone;
I wish to set the forum to read-only for a while. How can this be achieved?
Thank you.

In theory (as I've never done this myself) - Go to your Admin Center and under Forum Settings -> Members, set Registration to by admin only.

Then, under Member Groups, edit every group to disallow everything except for viewing. Just remember that your members will still be able to log in and view member-only sections and will be able to edit their profiles.

If you only have one solution to a problem you're not trying hard enough!

Hello Hector

What YaBB version are you running?

I have an old forum that is now read-only.

I think you have to set things through the 'Boards' Section. AFAIK, the "Group" restriction(s) don't exist before the newest software.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.
