We have a no off-topic posts policy. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and moving this 'whatever' post.

Any more incursions and its 'have a good life on the net'

Weird -
It seems to have disappeared off the map.  The Move Topic does have glitches at times.

Sorry, but I have no idea - its not in the Recycle bin even

Huh

because - you posted in a Support forum:
http://www.yabbforum.com/community/YaBB.pl?board=featuretroub

This is a support forum for YaBB Forum Software, not a general purpose blah-de-blah forum. YabbForum.com exists solely to support the use of our software.

If you have a question or comment on our software, or if you are using YaBB and need support, this is the place. Other than that, have a good life.

If you want to discuss copyright, or intellectual properties rights, find a forum where that is a topic.  Better yet, use YaBB to create a Forum of your own to talk about those subjects. The software is free.

Good Luck
Cool

This is a support forum for YaBB Forum Software, not a general purpose blah-de-blah forum. YabbForum.com exists solely to support the use of our software.

Just so everyone knows, even though Jon is the current administrator on duty, he's actually a bit off the mark about this forum's original purpose. Corey is YaBB's actual project leader and webmaster of this forum, and he stated about YaBB's operations, "I don't agree with all of the direction the forum structure, moderation, or code/template development is going as some of you don't either."

In part, Corey also stated, "... the best thing I can do right now is back away ... allow the team to figure out how it should work. Once/if we get to that point, then the belt can tighten again."

So the glass is still half full. As long as Corey remains YaBB's project leader, and webmaster of this forum, YaBB's community at large may once again be welcomed to freely participate at some point, and "our voices" won't be silenced in the ways that they continue to be silenced.

After all, support isn't always about the technical. Sometimes it's simply about the people.  Wink

Note: If you read the entire text of Corey's reply to one of YaBB's current team leaders, you'll see that team leaders aren't actually working as the kind of team that YaBB's community at large deserves. My general optimism tells me these conditions will eventually improve, and if they do, YaBB's community at large may very well return to participate again.
Until then, as it's been suggested, we can "have a good life" by staying out of this forum.  Smiley

Morning, noon, or night, have a great one!

I probably shouldn't butt in, but I can't resist a good discussion!! Tongue

I don't have much to contribute with either, only that, as far as yelling goes, JonB sang a Christmas carol compared to how I've been yelled at in other forums, for doing nothing wrong even, just asking questions somebody took for granted should be common knowledge, but was faaaar from that, common knowledge, I mean.

And, well, a good life is something to be desired, isn't it? Smiley

Good discussions are healthy!  Smiley

I have it on good authority that Jon simply meant to moderate; not to censor. Cool

As I understand it now, and something I suspected, he didn't mean to say this forum is only for support. It just kind of came out that way. Of course people are welcomed to participate. They/we just have to post in the right places.

Hopefully, word will get out in due time that this forum is once again a friendly place to be, and the number of participants will once again grow exponentially. I'm looking forward to a new version of YaBB's software, and I'm looking forward to people coming back to be part of YaBB's community at large again.

I used the wrong term - my bad.

What I really meant to say was Support Board, not Support Forum.

It was simply moderation, putting the post in the right B-O-A-R-D.  Wink

Good Luck to all
