A humble suggestion regarding bug fixes.

No software is perfect and 2.5.2 undoubtedly has as yet undiscovered bugs. My suggestion - when a bug is found and there's a working bug-fix, let's use Board-Mod to help get it installed.

Advantages of using Board-Mod - it keeps track of what's been installed and (I believe) has an uninstaller in case the mod or fix needs replacing. It's known technology that most Yabbers know.

Downside - we need better documentation on how to use it with newer versions of YaBB.

At some point we hope to have an 'internal' script for applying bug-fixes and a really easy, if not fully automatic, way for Admins to get the fixes and install them on their forums.  Cool

If you only have one solution to a problem you're not trying hard enough!

Sounds like a great idea. Maybe we can get Mike to add a 'bug fix mod' section over at BoardMod.
