If you are using a working copy of your forum on your PC once Boardmod is finished you can upload everything which will obviously include the changed files.

Then upload the actual mod files into their proper directories. Maybe someone here will do the changes for you and once you are happy then play with the vanilla forum idea.

I'm going out but will be back later and I am sure others will drop in, after 6 pages it's time to take a deep breath. Once you see it done you will understand how easy it is  Wink

Read this post and watch the video.

Also install a vanilla forum for testing / installing mods. Once you get the hang of it install on your active forum.

You have a copy of your files on your PC.

Boardmod modifies these files, once Boardmod is complete you upload the changed files from your copy.

There are also files supplied with the mod which you upload to your server. If you look at the downloaded files of the mod, you will see they are in the relevant folders.

In your ftp program you should have as an example the admin folder open on the left side and the admin folder open on the right side, copy the file across then do the same for the other folders.

it is in sources.  This is where i had it originally. I left it there but I was told this morning by Dandello that the files need to uploaded to 'cgi-bin/yabb2/Admin/'

so io did that. YOu can tell by the date and time modified that the file was in sources first but I still dont have this mod available in my admin area..... I diont know what is wrong.

It is so confusing... 6 pages of confusion

i just should not be this difficult
