Jon B,

I am on an oversold host. They limit I nodes, (files), but don't limit storage! It is laughable. I plan on changing hosts this year. Thanks though. Smiley

If you have any ideas...

If you bumped into a inodes limit, it may be a function of the hosting plan you are on.  I'm not real sure how you 'cleared some inodes' - do you mean you deleted files?  Some hosting plans have file or inode count limits (inodes and files are virtually the same thing).

http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/understanding-unixlinux-filesystem-inodes.html

What I am saying is "If you are bumping into that, it will likely occur again."  Every post uses 2 inodes/files. Each member 2-5, 1 for each attachment, and so on...  You might want to see if your host can tell you what the situation is, and if you have been hitting the server error logs.  I hope you are backing up regularly

Good Luck

John, in your forum go to /yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1357495808/0#0 (this is an actual post you made as the admin). You can get to that post easily by scrolling down to "The Threat of the Iranian Nuclear Program" in your Forum Statistics section, and clicking its link.Add a reply to that post, and your forum should be back to normal.

i can confirm this

and then run

If you're wondering, this has worked in other forums including our own, so hopefully this will work for your forum as well.

Good luck!

Morning, noon, or night, have a great one!

If the file is not in your backup, you should be able to create a fake one by copying a previous message, renaming it, then running the admin message utilities.

(If you can access your Admin Center, you should be able to fix it just by running the message utilities.)

If you only have one solution to a problem you're not trying hard enough!

You will have to download the backup and look for and upload the missing file from the backup

Help I can't access my general forum!

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you can help!

I posted on my general forum today. The server's "I nodes" were full. (I later found out). The post kicked back. No problem, I thought. I deleted some I nodes and voila the post took.

Not so fast there buddy bim! When I tried to access the general forum I got an error message:

Error: Unable to open /home/incappor/public_html/yabb/Messages/1357494110.txt
Verbose: No such file or directory

The file it says is in  fact missing. I tried to restore my Yabb with the backup but there is no restore button! LOL!!!

How can I get this file back, eliminate the need for it, or restore my last backup?

My host uses C Panel and is a UNIX based server.

Thanks again for any help at all!
