Something to think about - at least with these instructions an Admin can add them by hand.  Smiley

Erm, not too sure really. Only if it could be implemented well.

An 'insert break' tab?

Using an insert break tab doesn't actually work well when a window is re-sized. However, I'm always in favor of providing options for admins even if I choose not to use them.

YaBB's menu tab layout seems to be perfectly fine, especially when ad admin uses shading or colors in their style sheet to better identify menu tabs.

******************************************************

On the note of making YaBB's layout look easier to read, starting here in this topic a request was made to increase the thickness of one line in the message area so that there'd be a gap between messages.

Dandello came up with a solution that worked (referenced here), and so did Merv thanks to Derek Barnstorm (referenced here).

Including additional functionality in the Admin Center's Forum Layout would be wonderful. Cool

Morning, noon, or night, have a great one!

I guess one way would be to make a tab which is really just a break.

In Sources/TabMenu.pl find:

Code (Perl)
Select All
    $tab{'home'} = qq~<span |><a href="$scripturl" title = "$img_txt{'103'}" style="padding: 3px 0 4px 0;">$tabfill$img_txt{'103'}$tabfill</a></span>~;

And add before - you might need to add another break tag depending on how you want it:

Code (Perl)
Select All
    $tab{'break'} = qq~<br /><br />~;

Then in your Settings.pl add the highlighted (or wherever you want the break):

Code (Perl)
Select All
@AdvancedTabs = ("cocia__forum_registration_help|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=registration|0|0|0|0|","home","cocia__website|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=COCIA|0|0|0|0|","cocia__photo_gallery|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=gallery|0|0|0|0|","cocia__on_youtube|http://www.youtube.com/user/derekandru|0|0|0|1|","cocia__toolbar|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=toolbar|0|0|0|0|","cocia__on_facebook|http://www.facebook.com/pages/Camp-Oven-Cooking-In-Australia/86539734439|0|0|0|1|","support_cocia_|http://www.aussiecampovencook.com/apps/donations/|0|0|0|1|","camp_oven_festivals|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=festivals|0|0|0|0|","camp_oven_seasoning|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1210065993|0|0|0|0|","heat_beads__bbq_briquettes_chart|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=Chart|0|0|0|0|","help","search","ml","membermap|1|1|0|0|0|username","admin","revalidatesession","login","register","guestpm","mycenter","break","imsend|1|1|0|1|0|","logout","eventcal","birthdaylist","post_photo|http://postimage.org/|0|0|0|1|","guestbook","buying_from_southern_metal_spinners|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=bedourie|0|0|0|0|","woody_dutch_oven|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=woody|0|0|0|0|","heat_beads__bbq_briquettes|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=heatbeads|0|0|0|0|","biji_barbi|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=biji|0|0|0|0|","weather"); # Advanced Tabs order and infos

The actual order is in Variables/Settings.pl - '@AdvancedTabs'.

Derek

By using Custom Page Mod my forum is starting to take over as a base for a website and the TAB Menu is getting a bit messy.  Below is how a non-admin will see it.

Do you think it possible to place a break between the lines of TAB's for example where I have placed the arrow??

Here is the code from settings.pl
Code
Select All
@AdvancedTabs = ("cocia__forum_registration_help|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=registration|0|0|0|0|","home","cocia__website|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=COCIA|0|0|0|0|","cocia__photo_gallery|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=gallery|0|0|0|0|","cocia__on_youtube|http://www.youtube.com/user/derekandru|0|0|0|1|","cocia__toolbar|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=toolbar|0|0|0|0|","cocia__on_facebook|http://www.facebook.com/pages/Camp-Oven-Cooking-In-Australia/86539734439|0|0|0|1|","support_cocia_|http://www.aussiecampovencook.com/apps/donations/|0|0|0|1|","camp_oven_festivals|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=festivals|0|0|0|0|","camp_oven_seasoning|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1210065993|0|0|0|0|","heat_beads__bbq_briquettes_chart|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=Chart|0|0|0|0|","help","search","ml","membermap|1|1|0|0|0|username","admin","revalidatesession","login","register","guestpm","mycenter","imsend|1|1|0|1|0|","logout","eventcal","birthdaylist","post_photo|http://postimage.org/|0|0|0|1|","guestbook","buying_from_southern_metal_spinners|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=bedourie|0|0|0|0|","woody_dutch_oven|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=woody|0|0|0|0|","heat_beads__bbq_briquettes|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=heatbeads|0|0|0|0|","biji_barbi|http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=biji|0|0|0|0|","weather"); # Advanced Tabs order and infos

Thanks Bill but that is just a list if the TAB's I have created.

I am pulling my hair out but know there is a simple explanation.

Is there a text file somewhere that orders the appearance of the TAB Menu.

I am sure I have played with it before.

Thanks
