Hello -

We will probably release version 2.6 officially this week some time.

If you would like to use the current pre-release (updated one day ago) I have attached it as a zip file.  There is about a 99% chance this is exactly what will be released later this week.

Cool

Probably during the next week. We had to get YaBBforum.com converted to find out how some 'language version' issues would work out.  We are fixing those now.

thanks

YaBB doesn't use PHP - so having it on or off shouldn't bother YaBB at all.
2.5AE had some bugs that were fixed in 2.5.2 and most 2.5AE mods will work with 2.5.2.

Thanks for your reply i think ill wait till the 2.6 comes out as i had already added mods so this 2.5.2 was not needed i have 2.5 AE which has been stable for years until i wanted to change the email address on the adminindex.pl(admin index)the server gave me a 404 and blocked me as well so i called them and they had to switch the php off now dont ask me what that means but when they did it worked again and they did advise me that this forum is outdated as the server software gets updated all the time

2.5.2 is very stable. And what's in the SVN is up to date on bug fixes. (http://sourceforge.net/p/yabb/svn/HEAD/tree/branches/2.5.2/ down load the snapshot.)

Otherwise, 2.6.0 is very close. (Next week probably.)

External Links as Boards  probably would be a good title.

Its an Option in Board Setup. It creates a redirector right in a Category or Board (as a child board).  This is VERY useful, as you can point to resources that are 'topic/area' context Sensitive - IN FACT - I'll be adding one for our 'YaBB Communicator' (a new YaBBForum.com Site thingie)

This is a new feature in that it's not a mod - and not a tab.

Can someone explain this to me? It seems obvious, but given that it's being reported as a new feature, it's not (for me, at least).

In theory you should be able to take any functioning YaBB forum, run it though one of two converters (one for 1x and one for 2x) and be good to go. (It will even import your old settings.)

And if you have heavily modded board functions, there's a board converter you can run on your old forum to get the correct data to import into your new one (for things like Board Rules and Board Passwords.)
