Hanging up my YaBB Hat

Hi folks,

Well, it's been a few months since I've been around. Life changes and moves on, and I've decided to hang up my YaBB hat for good, so I guess it's my time to become a 'Past Team Member'.

Thanks to the people who shared their knowledge and made it fun for me (and special thanks to the modding community).

Best of luck for the future,

Cheers,

Over and out,

Derek

Does this mean I can edit your Mods for 2.6 and you won't be upset?

You WILL be missed, BTW.  Cry

Thanks guys! All the best to you too. Smiley

Yeah, I wasn't too sure how to handle my mods, but I guess they are free for the community to update as they wish.

They mean a lot to me though. I have spent many hours on them and they are like my children, so please look after them and treat them kind - thorough testing and minimal mistakes please. Wink Smiley

Ouch!!!

I'm quite surprised to see this. Any how, life does sometimes bring us down different roads. Hope all is well and wish you the best. Thanks for all you have done for me and the community in he past.

Hope to see you around in the future. YaBB will definitely be different without you around. You are such a great, great asset to YaBB in my opinion. Ahh. Screw opinions, you as a asset to YaBB is a fact! Wink

Hi my mod friend Derek,

for the future I wishes you and your family everything best, satisfaction, happiness, and especially health. We can only hope that the YaBB community not permanently loses a great Modder and you find your way here maybe sometime back.

Very sad news indeed.

I have applied Derek's mods to my YaBB forum in the past and am sorry to hear him leaving this project as I imagine him to be a valuable team member ... Very best wishes for the future and as others have already said, hopefully you shall drop by from time-to-time.

Now where do I actually find your mods online ... Roll Eyes

We're keeping our fingers crossed that JonB and LoonyPandora will get that online shortly. (Derek's one of the great mod writers.)

Would that be boardmod.org, Dandello or something else that you're referring to ?

boardmod.org was being hosted on the same server as YaBBForum. So it needs to get moved to a new server and the DNS pointing to its new home. Backups do exist.
