YaBB is a free, open-source project. We do not publicly promote licensing because of this good-natured ideal. Site licenses are not required for personal or commercial use if you wish to use YaBB in a standard manner and will be leaving the copyright notices and links visible on all pages of your forum. Any non-standard use, including removal of the copyrights, requires a license. To see if you comply with YaBB's license, the YPL, please read the license included in the package you have downloaded.

Buying a license gives you the right to remove the copyright at the bottom of one forum on your website and/or rename/hide the main executable file (YaBB.pl) of the forum, although it does not give you priority support. However, we will help you with the aforementioned items. Licenses apply for the major version of YaBB you purchase it for and any service pack or upgrade that may exist in the future for that major version.

$150	Copyright Removal License This license is required for any website that wishes to remove the copyrght displayed on the bottom of a single YaBB forum. Each license is good for only one website, one forum, and one major version of YaBB (i.e. YaBB 1 and its updates - SP1, etc.).
$50	Executable Renaming License This license is required if you wish to rename the YaBB.pl main script executable (visible in your forum URL) to another name such as index.pl or by hiding it completely. This license is independent of the Copyright removal License.
Varies	Non-Standard License Additional fees may apply if you wish to remotely host YaBB, redistribute YaBB, or use YaBB in any other non-standard fashion.
