YaBB TestimonialsSome of our user have taken the time to write us a little something about what they think of YaBB. We've made just a small list of all these comments. Refresh the page to see more random testimonials from real YaBB users. "You have created the most awesome board i've ever come across. Very Very nice job on YaBB SP1. I cant wait to see what the Team comes out with in 2002, but I'm sure it's gonna Rock." -- Mr. Oldman "I'm glad i discovered YaBB, it has kept me busy for a year and a half, stopping me from doing lots of things to terrorise the web world! 'YaBB, keeping the Support Team off the streets!'" -- James Bone "Having just installed SP1 over Gold on a Linux server, I say this is one of the easiest to install programs out there. It doesn't even require you to enter the absolute path for the directories. And the improvements over Gold (which was an excellent product itself) are almost mind-boggling. One of the things that impresses me most about YaBB is that you guys manage to pack a ton of functionality into such a small amount of space. Take a lesser board like Ikonboard for example, which requires an unbelievable 10+ meg just for the installation. There's just no comparison." -- Semantary "Coming from a background of barley no HTML or Perl experience, looking for a Forum that doesn't limit me to anything, I stumbled upon YaBB. I thought to myself, 'How the heck will I be able to not only upload something of this coding magnitude, how will I be able to understand what I'm doing?' After reading, what in my opinion, was the best F.A.Q ever written, I set off to accomplish one thing, making my own message board. Here I am, 2 years later, still using 'YaBB'. Each time I came across a problem(Which was very seldom), the guys at yabbforum.com answer it quickly and easily. The general set up is easier than you could ever think, and truth be told, I never though I would see the day that I was helping others out, let alone being able to doing it myself. I can solidly say, it's because of YaBB. I'm now pushing my limits, daring to put extra modifications into my board, to edit that piece of coding, helping others when needed, and it doesn't stop there. I'm now exploring the world of graphic design, XHTML, PHP, Java, and many more scripting languages." -- Scottio "Thank you, YaBB guys for a wonderful product .... We'd like to list you guys as one of our sponsors because you've provided us with a great product at no cost. Your product is allowing our members to openly communicate, educate and even help find needed services for pet owners in Canada .... Thanks again!" -- Kristin Walker of PetSitCanada.com "I've used YaBB for a long time, last time I used it was years ago with a graphics site I had, now it is being used to post my own PHP tutorials and scripts for others to use, its a great software must say despite the fact it is coded in Perl. The admin panel is the best, its really easy to use. phpBB can never live up to the standards of YaBB, neither the same for SMF." -- Ben Stones "Recently, I built another website using phpBB instead of YaBB. I needed to use phpBB on that site for certain reasons. What I discovered is that YaBB has many useful features that are standard that phpBB requires mods for. ... I have not had a single security breach since I upgraded to 2.3.1, not so on phpBB I had 4 security breaches in a week as I had to modify the captcha it uses. Because YaBB has RSS standard feature it is easy to place RSS feed links into CMS pages like in Joomla. I now have well over 1,000 members on a pretty active board and YaBB has given me no problems it is totally stable. It is easy to customize and there is a lot of support here on this site and on boardmod if you need it. ... My members seem to be very comfortable with the YaBB forum. Over the years the staff here at YaBB have been more than helpful anytime I had an issue upgrading or making modifications. I have used YaBB since YaBB 1 and certainly give them high praise and my recommendation." -- Doherty "As a user of YaBB since virtually the beginning I have always found the software a treat to work with and it was able to cope with the traffic the sites were getting. However, a couple of months ago I was about to embark on a new sporting website venture and needed a board that I could rely on to handle the load we expected. We knew YaBB was good, but there are also other contenders out there as well. Anyway, cutting a long story short .... We have just passed 100,000 posts and are very pleased as usual with YaBB." -- MikeyBear |
